We're looking for an experienced, resilient and compassionate Team Leader to join our leadership team. In this rewarding role, you'll help lead and support a team of Residential Children's Care Workers, ensuring children receive the highest standards of care and support within a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD, attachment difficulties, trauma and other complex needs, you'll play a key role in helping young people build resilience, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential Children's Care Worker, Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader looking to develop their leadership career within a supportive and growing organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to Residential Children's Care Workers
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
- Ensuring children's emotional, physical and developmental needs are met
- Promoting positive behaviour and therapeutic approaches
- Supporting care planning, risk assessments and record keeping
- Working in partnership with families, social workers, education providers and other professionals
- Creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment where children can thrive
- Supporting the management team in maintaining high standards of care and regulatory compliance
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within a residential children's home
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience leading shifts or supporting staff within a care setting
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Resilience, patience and a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts
- Level 5 qualification or willingness to work towards this qualification is desirable
