Each of our Rockhopper children's homes shares the same foundations that have earned our other homes ‘Outstanding or Good’ Ofsted ratings. Our approach is grounded in unwavering care, integrity, and a belief in every child’s limitless potential.
At Rockhopper Children's Services, we don’t just provide care, we build futures. We help children make sense of their past, feel safe in their present, and dream about what comes next.
Our Offer
We specialise in working with adolescent males who have complex needs associated with sexually inappropriate and harmful behaviour. Children arrive with unique life stories, many shaped by adversity, including experiences of trauma, neglect or abuse.
The programme starts with a 12-week assessment to determine the therapeutic intervention path and includes HSB risk formulation, AIM3 and PROFESSOR assessments and psychological assessment.
Following the assessment stage, children begin a specialist programme of interventions, delivered by the HSB lead. These will typically include developing social skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, sex and
relationships education, understanding their behaviour and future safety planning. Children can also access individual therapy sessions with our clinical psychologist, where required.
Education
Education is overseen via Kedleston Group’s Education Outreach Team linked to one of the schools. Children’s needs will be assessed and supported with a bespoke programme, adapted for their age and abilities, including those with special educational needs.
