We're looking for dedicated, resilient and compassionate Bank Residential Children's Care Workers to join our team. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work around existing commitments whilst making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people.
Working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD, attachment difficulties, trauma and other complex needs, you will help provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to thrive.
You'll be more than a care worker. You'll be a mentor, role model and trusted adult, helping children and young people feel valued, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.
What You'll Be Doing
• Providing day-to-day care and support within a safe and nurturing home environment
• Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
• Supporting young people with daily routines, education and personal development
• Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
• Supporting children through challenges and promoting positive behaviour
• Working as part of a team to provide consistent, child-centred care
• Supporting young people to take part in activities, hobbies and experiences that enrich their lives
• Promoting the voice, wishes and feelings of children and young people
• Contributing to the creation of positive experiences and memorable moments
• Supporting care planning, record keeping and safeguarding responsibilities where required
What We're Looking For
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs and/or mental health needs
• A caring, empathetic and child-centred approach
• The ability to build positive relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Resilience, patience and a positive attitude
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
• A full UK driving licence is desirable

Young people are encouraged to develop their confidence, life skills and aspirations for the future whilst receiving individualised support tailored to their needs.
Ivytree House is part of Rockhopper Children's Services, a specialist provider of care for children and young people with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
